The physics labs here have all sorts of scary-looking equipment. I spent my time in there looking for interesting fonts, colors, and other design elements. The Technicolor logo on this slide projector even provided the basis for the new logo for my website.

This is a Bell System speech synthesis kit. I have no idea how this works or anything, but it looks like it's been sitting on this counter for 25 years.
